Yes, Fitts’s Law justifies the Mac menu bar being anchored to the top of the screen.
But then I find myself doing this dance:
- Move mouse onto secondary monitor to active a window.
- Move the mouse back to the primary monitor to get to the File menu. (Of course, my second monitor is on the right and the File menu is on the left.)
- Move the mouse back to the second monitor to choose options in the print dialog box that slid out of the active window’s title bar.
