Neat! Is that the Sea of Kamino seperating Hoth from the rest?

Yeah, Sea of Kamino makes sense. I was sticking to places mentioned or visited in IV, V, and VI. No “extended universe” or prequels.

One of the questions to be answered in taking this from the first thought—Star Wars had some fun place names; what if I used them places on a medieval-fantasy map?—to a game is: How far do I go? The more I keep up the pattern, I’d have to eventually start drawing on the prequels. Once I get to the extended universe, though, I think it starts to lose whatever was attractive about it in the first place. (Which I think has something to do with using names that are familiar to just about any player.)

Do I include other elements? Is there an evil empire? An evil Darth Vader, Lord Sith? Wookies?

This definitely needs bad guy mystic knights and wookies are a must.

Definitely an evil empire too, though you'd have to figure out where it's seat is. Perhaps the Emperor lives in a magically shrouded city within Endor Forest.

Make the Empire of Coruscant or the City State of Coruscant (with its evil overlord :P) either an island to the west or perhaps on the other side of Tatooine?
